BADCO members Brett Marshall and Ronnie Ross have attended just days ago two separate meetings with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District and the Denver Parks and Recreation Department where both groups have confirmed that disc golf courses are planned in future development.
The Denver Parks and Recreation Department held a meeting regarding its 'Game Plan' in which a spokesperson said that 'a disc golf course will come to Denver'.
Also, the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District held a meeting on Wednesday this week confirming a disc golf course will be built somewhere within the district. South Suburban spans much of the southwestern Denver metro area including Littleton, Douglas County and surrounding area. There was a disc basket displayed at the meeting in which some board members threw a few discs.
There were no timetables for the development of the courses or specific locations for the courses as the announcements come in the preliminary stages.
Brett and Ronnie are continually communicating with rep's from both groups and as information becomes available it will be posted on the badcodisc.com website. |
